In fact I tend to leave it in for 24 hours!

Make sure that your ice cream mix is completely cold and then just switch it on. Don't overfill it either, it really only works with about 500ml / 1 pt of mixture.

The yoghurt one only took 10 minutes because there really wasn't that much mixture, but the last few recipes i've used have taken around 45 minutes to freeze.

When it's done it will be the consistency of whipped ice cream - the stuff you get off the ice cream van! :) It needs half an hour or so in the freezer to firm up a bit more I find.

Also, watch it because a layer on the the bottom can solidfy and it takes ages to defrost enough to get it off!

SalSal - AlienOnToasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07687675357676164602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-291582756195959292.post-69695000453481552652008-04-23T15:59:00.000+01:002008-04-23T15:59:00.000+01:00Hi! I have the EXACT same ice cream maker, only mine didn't work at all when I tried to make v'con ice cream...

Mom bought this model many years ago in 2001. She's never used it since. Maybe it was just me using it wrong. Could you tell me exactly in detail how you used the machine?

What I did was put the container in the freezer, make the ice cream mixture, take the container out of the freezer, pour the mixture in, put the container in the machine, then swtch on the power. Started churning slowly, but the whole thing remained liquid.mustardseedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06971860107118017172noreply@blogger.com
